Exercise and Sports
SilverSneakers Functional Fitness Class: Tues/Thurs at 9:00 am, Wed. at 10 am SilverSneakers and Prime are programs encouraging adults to participate in physical activities that will help them maintain greater control of their health. Medicare eligible, secondary insurance SilverSneakers members and Prime benefit insurance members pay nothing; all others pay $2 per class. Tues/Thurs participants must be able to stand.
Gentle Exercises: DVD-led exercise
Floor Yoga: Mondays at 10 am in the Meeting Room with Certified Yoga Instructor Lynne Miller. Classes are drop-in and $6 per person.
Chair Yoga: Fridays at 9 am in the Meeting Room with Certified Yoga Instructor Lynne Miller. Classes are drop-in and $6 per person.
Tai Chi, Moving for Better Balance: Tai Chi provides a simple approach with the benefits of balance, strength, and flexibility. Class is every Friday at 10:30 am, cost is $15 per class. A friendly class, beginners are very welcome!
Tap Dance: Fun dance is open to all and includes music from all genres. You don't need a partner, just come and have fun! Cost is $6 per class. Teacher has tap shoes for sale if you don't have your own!
Pickleball: Pickleball is a paddle sport for all ages and levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for players. The sport combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Pickleball is an excellent aerobic workout. Table Tennis: Pop in and join the action of this fast paced,competitive sport that is a great way to burn calories and improve reflexes and balance.
