                                      FEBRUARY 28, 2019

After notice duly given, the Longmeadow Cable Advisory Committee met in open session in room A15 of Longmeadow High School on February 28, 2019.  The meeting was called to order by the Chair, Steven Wolman, who presided throughout.  Those in attendance were: Steven Wolman, Donald Holland, Norman Michaels, Paul Gorman, representing LCTV Tracey Durant, and representing Comcast Eileen Leahy.

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM

Secretary's Report
The minutes of the previous meeting were corrected to show that Tracey Durant is Assistant Station Manager of LCTV, not Station Manager.  With that correction, the minutes of the previous meeting were accepted unanimously.

Old Business
The Chair reported that he had discussed the 5% of the 5% with Dan Glanville of Comcast who showed the Chair that in calculating the quarterly payment to LCTV, the 5% of the 5% was, in fact, paid

New Business
The Chair reported that the Town had received a letter from Comcast in November, 2019 reserving its right to negotiate under the Formal Method.  This initiated Ascertainment.  The Chair will contact Town Manager Stephen Crane and ask that he send an email to all Department heads and Committee chairs asking that they provide any requests regarding telecommunication needs that could be fulfilled by Comcast that should be negotiated by the Cable Advisory Committee.  Don Holland stated that the new DPW building plans do not show any wiring for cable or internet.  He pointed out that there is a Comcast trunk line on Dwight Rd that was put in for 167, 171, and 175 Dwight Rd.  This trunk is across the street from the new DPW building.  The Chair appointed Don Holland, Norm Michaels and himself as a negotiating sub-committee and the Chair stated that he would email Town Manager Stephen Crane with questions regarding the Open Meeting law and how it pertains to the sub-committee's negotiations with Comcast.
