| Our childcare programs are licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for children as young as one month through Grade 6. Our program is located at the Greenwood Children’s Center at 231 Maple Road in Longmeadow. Parents are welcome to tour our facilities and meet our staff. Please call 413.565.4163 to set up a personal interview to view our facilities and observe our program. Our preschool and school age programs are now peanut free environments in response to the growing number of children who have allergies.
Our Facility Offers Day Care & Extended School Age Care
Infant Room
Full time care for children ages one month to 15 months. Group size is 7 children with 2 teachers. All children follow individual schedules and are always held when bottle fed. Exploration opportunities are given through out the day.
Toddler Room
Full time care for children ages 15 months to 2.9 years. Group size is 9 children with 2 teachers. Children follow a group schedule and an age appropriate curriculum. Curriculum offers repetition of themes and encourages basic independence skills.
Preschool
Full and part time care for children ages 2.9 years through pre-k. Preschool three's and Pre- K classroom are available with a 2 and 3 day enrollment option. Group size is 20 per classroom with breakfast, 2 snacks and lunch provided. Children follow a group schedule with thematic units and weekly lesson plans. Parents are encouraged to participate as their schedule allows.
Before & After Kindergarten Room:
Children enrolled in public half day kindergarten can supplement the other half of the school day with us.This center-based rooms allows children to explore and expand their interests in an enriching and safe environment.
After School Room:
This room provides center-based activities for children ages 5-12. Reading, legos, dramatic play, board games, and painting are an example of some of the centers available in the room.
Art Room:
Children ages 5-12 are encouraged to put on a smock and let their creative juices flow in this room. With a vast array of art supplies available to us, you never know what your child will create in this room.
56 Club:
Fifth and sixth graders only in this club! Middle schoolers
are given the opportunity to gain independence in this room
by doing community service projects, working on homework,
and enhancing team building skills. This room provides a
private area that middle schoolers feel is their own space.
Gym:
With equipment available for almost any game imaginable in
our sports closet, the gym provides the children with the space
to play.
