Greenwood Extended Day’s mission is to provide our participants with a “home away from home” environment. Our activities are choice based, allowing your child to have guided ownership and accountability of his or her decisions. The staff at Greenwood Extended Day believes this is essential for personal growth and achievement. Our programs provide your child an opportunity for development of social and communication skills while at the same time exploring new activities including arts & crafts, gym & field games, dramatic play, homework and special interest clubs.

Before or After Kindergarten Care
Transportation is provided to and from Blueberry Hill, Center and Wolf Swamp Schools. Transportation is also available for children in need of our extended care. Parents can register for the sessions below:

Early Risers - Before School Child Care Program for students
Kindergarten through Grade 6th
The Early Risers program is offered at Wolf Swamp, Blueberry Hill and Center Elementary Schools each morning beginning at 7:15am through the start of the school day. You can download a copy of the Early Risers Parent Handbook here.

Extended Day - After School Program for Grades K through 6th
Our after school program offers participants the opportunity to play outdoors, do arts & crafts, begin their homework, have a snack and hang out with friends. Transportation is provided from the Longmeadow Public Schools to Greenwood Children’s Center each afternoon. Your child will have the opportunity to work with staff in leading groups and activities while having time to complete homework and enjoy activities themselves! Open Enrollment Night at Greenwood Children’s Center
Tuesday, May 12 from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Greenwood Extended Day will begin enrollment for the 2009-2010 School Year on Tuesday, May 12, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. Please bring your checkbook, emergency contact numbers and child’s pick up list to make completing the registration packet and leaving the deposit more convenient.
