April Bergeron

  April Bergeron has been instructing dance classes at Longmeadow Dance School since 2004. She is the creator, director and instructor of two LPRD summer dance camps: Princess Ballet Camp, in its fourth session and the new Pop Star Performance Dance Camp. April also directs and teaches the morning Dance Movement and Tap Program for Preschoolers at Community House. April has been a dance instructor and choreographer in the areas of Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Acrobat, Jazz, and Tap for the past eighteen years.
April has an extensive background in Junior and Senior Company competitive dance choreography, receiving many high score awards including “Best Choreography” at dance competitions throughout her career. April has enjoyed furthering her dance education by completing choreography workshops and master dance classes by: renowned tap dancer Al Gilbert, legendary jazz instructors, Charles Kelly, Frank Hachett and Sheila Barker, current Radio City Rockette Deborah Vega and Lorrie Russeau of Dance Caravan for Kids. April is an active member of Dance Caravan and the Professional Dance Teachers Association. She is currently a dance instructor at Unity Dance Spectrum teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced classes in Ballet, Lyrical, Tap and Jazz.
April has attained her BA in Education and her BS in Social Science from Westfield State College. April is a former Preschool Teacher and Assistant Director of Greenwood Children's Center in Longmeadow. April resides in Chicopee with her husband Dan, their three year old daughter Ava Grace and ten month old son, Griffin Daniel.
