Feature Family

As a family with two full-time working parents, Greenwood Children's Center has been a key ingredient to our family’s success. Greenwood has provided us with the security in knowing that our children are safe and cared for in a structured and loving environment. Our son Connor who is 4, is in the pre-school room and has been attending Greenwood since he was 9 months old. He was diagnosed with multiple food allergies at 11 months of age and Greenwood has been exceptional in their adaptation to his specific needs by making sure the staff is educated about food allergies and trained on how to use an EpiPen.

Our daughter Marykate is 2 and she is in the toddler room and loves to go to "school" each day and we firmly believe that this is because of the love and attention she receives at Greenwood Children’s Center. Her excitement each day makes the drop off much easier because she looks forward to seeing her friends and teachers. Both my children enjoy their classes with Mr. Jon (Jon O'Neill) who inspires creativity through music. Greenwood also has hours of operation that are very accommodating for working parents.

There is so much that the Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department has to offer. My children participate in swim lessons and both children celebrated their birthdays with panache parties that were excellent. As our children grow, we will utilize the before and after school programs during the school year and the summer camps during the summer. It is reassuring to us as parents to know that our kids are already familiar with the staff and programs offered through Longmeadow Parks & Recreation Department. Overall, Longmeadow Parks & Recreation has made an immediate positive impact on our family and we have seen our children grow and thrive from their Greenwood experience.
