| The fall is a good time to brush up on First Aid and CPR. Would you know what to do if an infant is choking or the proper way to perform CPR on a heart attack victim before help arrives?
Learn the proper method for treating wounds, burns, choking or stroke. If you would like to learn the basics of first aid and CPR, the full time staff at LPRD is offering classes in First Aid and CPR for Infants/Children and adults. Participants will be certified in Red Cross First Aid and/or CPR upon successful completion of one class or the full series. You may sign up for all three classes or just one. Classes will be offered on Wednesday evenings at Greenwood Childrens Center from 6pm-9pm. Fee includes materials.

Longmeadow Adult Drama Club
Adult Theatre enthusiasts at all levels of experience welcome! To Join or Not to Join? Are you ready to join the Longmeadow Adult Drama Club? Let Director, Jamie Cass lead you into a world of theatre. This adult drama club is open to all adult theatre enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. The class will consist of acting, stage work, theatre warm ups and vocal/physical exercises. Auditions for parts of a contemporary play, TBD, will be held the second Thursday of the schedule. Two hour weekly evening rehearsals will begin the following Thursday, Oct. 28. The program will culminate with a one night performance to be held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the Community House.
Mr. Cass is a certified theatre teacher with the state of Massachusetts and holds a degree in acting from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. He is a full time seventeen year veteran Theatre Arts teacher for the Springfield Public School System and runs the Longmeadow after School Drama Club and Summer Camps. He has been involved in a number of regional theatres, such as Hartford Stage, Stage/West, St. Louis Repertory Theatre and Maine Stage Theatre to name a few. Dress Rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 3 and Performance is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 4. (No rehearsals on Nov. 11 & 25; Dec. 23 & 30 and Jan. 20)
