Gymnastics and Sports for Ages 2 through 5
USA Champion Kids offers a variety of gymnastics and sports activities for ages 2 & up. Age appropriate activities including gymnastics with the balance beam, parallel bars, rings, uneven bars and vault for little people will be featured. All of the gymnastics pieces are only inches off the ground and are designed for little bodies with safety in mind. Also included with this program is exposure to a number of sports including t-ball, soccer, bowling, basketball, badminton, relays, croquet and floor hockey, etc. Instructor is Lorrie Rousseau.

Musical Notes for Infants, Toddlers & Preschoolers–Newborn through 3
Clap, sing and move with your child in this program designed for your child’s enjoyment. Jon O’Neill is offering several music classes for little ones. Music is known to increase a child’s emotional intelligence, creativity and social skills. These six-week programs will integrate singing, music and use of various instruments. All classes meet on Tuesday mornings in the After School Room at Greenwood Children’s Center.

Karate for Ages 4-8 at Greenwood Children’s Center
Shotokan Karate-do is a traditional Japanese Martial Art. The study of karate is an inner search for growth and self discipline, which encompasses many ideals. Students train in the basic exercises involving punching, blocking, kicking, stances, forms, sparring and self defense. A white karate uniform is required for class and can be ordered through the instructor. Your instructor is Sensei Jim Shea, a Longmeadow resident who has been teaching for over 37 years. No class on Wed., April 20.

Small Samurai for Ages 3-5
Do you have a 3 to 5 year old with plenty of energy to spare? This program can harness that energy in this martial arts movement class for preschoolers. Children learn about respecting others in a fun and interactive way that also improves their coordination, balance and focus. The Small Samurai director, Janice Morton, is a certified black belt instructor who is also a mother of three children. Janice holds an A.S. from Bay Path College and a B.S. in Management and Organization from Central Connecticut State University. No class April 21.

Dance Into Spring with Leah for Ages 5 & up
Dance Instructor Leah Harrington will lead our dancers into a special springtime program that will focus on fresh new dance routines, creative props and costumes with a spring time flair. Program will be held over the April School vacation in the Dance Studio. Come join the fun and enjoy vacation with your friends.

New Mom’s Group
A Support Group for New Parents
One of the most exciting times of your life can be when you become a parent. Come and share your success stories about the new little person in your life. Gain support, meet new friends and establish bonds with other new parents. Sharing ideas, experiences and questions are welcome and encouraged. This group is open to new parents and their infants from birth to one year of age. This program is offered in conjunction with Baystate Medical Center Parent Education Department. Dates: Ongoing Thursdays, 10am-11am. No meetings when schools are cancelled or during School vacation weeks
Location: Greenwood Center Community Room through the end of the School year and at the COA during the summer.
